Bill Holst, a longtime resident of Smithtown has announced his candidacy for District Court Judge, 4th District, Town of Smithtown.

Bill's public service includes being appointed by a former Governor of the State of New York to serve as the Suffolk County Clerk in 1989 and an appointment by a former County Executive to serve as Deputy Commissioner of Consumer Affairs. William Holst was also elected in a Special Election in March 1997 and in the General Election in November 1997 as a Suffolk County Legislator to represent the 12th Legislative District.
